Hever Castle Golf & Wellbeing offers an exceptional dining experience at The Waterside Bar, Restaurant & Terrace, serving breakfast, lunch, and afternoon tea. Located amidst the stunning Kent Weald countryside, the terrace is the perfect spot to relax during the summer months while enjoying the picturesque views. The Waterside is versatile, catering to various events throughout the year and available for private hire for parties and functions, making it an ideal venue for both casual visits and special occasions.

The clubhouse's bustling kitchen, led by a talented Head Chef and a skilled brigade, provides a high-quality bar menu and supports numerous member events and golf societies. This dynamic environment presents an excellent opportunity for chefs to hone their skills and advance their careers.
The service hours are focused on daytime operations, with limited evening shifts, inviting applications from chefs or cooks with at least one year of commercial catering experience.

Overview of Role:
As a crucial member of our brigade, you will work closely with “Matthew” our Head Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification with meticulous attention to detail. Your experience across all kitchen stations will enable you to proficiently produce a range of starters, mains, and desserts.
Teamwork is paramount in our kitchen, so excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and a strong sense of service and pride in maintaining kitchen and food standards are essential qualities we seek in candidates.
- Delivering high-quality fresh food service
- Support the delivery of club dinners and events.
- Planning and developing, daily specials, recipes and menus.
- Ensuring efficient inventory control procedures, procurement, and cost control.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment
- Demonstrate the ambition to succeed and be eager to learn and develop.
- Exhibiting a mature and flexible approach to work.
About You:
- One year’s commercial catering experience.
- Have your own transport and live within a 30-minute drive of Hever Castle in Kent
- Understand the requirement for weekend work.
- Enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in your Kitchen.
