As a leading venue for golf in the UK, Royal Ashdown Forest Golf Club takes immense pride in its service and food offerings. The bustling kitchen, at the heart of the clubhouse, serves a high-quality bar menu and caters for member events and golf societies. Supported by our Head Chef and other brigade members, this environment offers an excellent opportunity for chefs to enhance their skills and advance their careers.

Service hours are primarily oriented towards daytime operations, with only occasional evening shifts. This is a contracted position of 40 hours per week, with no split shifts.

Applications are welcome from Chefs or Cooks with at least two years of commercial catering experience, a desire to work with fresh produce and pastry skills to enhance our homemade dessert offering.

Overview of Role:

As a crucial member of our brigade, you will work closely with “Max” our Head Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification with meticulous attention to detail. Your experience across all kitchen stations will enable you to proficiently produce a range of starters, mains, and desserts.

Teamwork is paramount in our kitchen, so excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication, and a strong sense of service and pride in maintaining kitchen and food standards are essential qualities we seek in candidates.

  • Delivering high-quality fresh food service
  • Support the delivery of club dinners and events.
  • Planning and developing, daily specials, recipes and menus.
  • Ensuring efficient inventory control procedures, procurement, and cost control.
