We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic Events & Conferencing Manager to join our team at Hever Castle Estate. This key role, you will support the in the smooth and professional delivery of our food and beverage services across a wide range of events. From intimate weddings to large-scale celebrations, you will assist in coordinating all aspects of service, ensuring that every guest enjoys an exceptional and memorable experience.

You will play an important part in leading and motivating the service team, maintaining the highest standards of hospitality, and ensuring all events run efficiently and in line with expectations. Your ability to remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively, and support a fast-paced operation will be central to your success.

The Estate features an array of prestigious event spaces, including the historic Castle, the elegant Astor Wing, and the stunning Italian Garden overlooking the lake, all combining rich heritage with outstanding service.

Position Overview:

  • Play an integral role within the management team, working closely with the Culinary Director, Sales Manager, and F&B Operations Manager to plan and deliver a premium annual events calendar.
  • Lead service teams during weddings and high-end events, providing clear direction and maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Liaise with the internal sales team to ensure all event details, itineraries, and client expectations are fully understood and executed.
  • Oversee event set-up and preparation, ensuring all food and beverage requirements are delivered to the highest standard.
  • Recruit, train, induct, and supervise new and existing team members to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies at all times.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during events, confidently handling guest queries and resolving operational issues quickly.
  • Maintain strong communication with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery across all event stages.
  • Support post-event reviews, contributing ideas to refine processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen overall event performance.

About You:

  • Proven experience in event coordination and high-quality service delivery.
  • Strong background in wedding operations, with a clear understanding of the standards and detail required for premium weddings.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and support service teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required by the events calendar.
  • Own transport and based within a 30-minute commute of Edenbridge, Kent.
