Position Overview:
This role is a varied finance and administration position responsible for supporting payroll, purchase ledger management, and general office operations. It involves onboarding new employees, processing payments, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring accurate financial and administrative records are maintained. The position requires strong organisational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while handling sensitive information confidentially. Experience with Sage 200 and Sage 50 Payroll would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Onboarding employees onto BrightHR, including right-to-work checks and issuing employment terms.
• Processing payroll accurately and on time.
• Checking, reconciling, coding, and posting purchase ledger invoices.
• Running computerised payments and managing supplier queries via phone or email.
• Filing, archiving, and assisting with weekly and monthly statistics entry.
• Supporting the Finance Assistant with data input and other administrative duties.
• Managing petty cash, recording tips, booking concessions, and raising invoices from consumption sheets.
• Ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance while working effectively under tight deadlines.
About You:
• Good basic education with proven numeracy and literacy skills
• Basic accounting and payroll knowledge, with a minimum of 1 years’ experience in accounts
• Computer literate with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Sage 200 and Sage 50 Payroll preferred but not essential
• Within a 30-minute commute by car of Hever Castle
