Package & Benefits:
- Salary £34,000 to £36,000 pa.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Greenkeeper to support the Course Manager in the day-to-day presentation and ongoing development of the golf course, driving range outfield, equipment, and greenkeeping team. This role is central to delivering consistently high playing standards and ensuring Wycombe Heights is recognised as the premier family-friendly golf destination in the region. You will play a key part in nurturing and developing the greenkeeping team, contributing to maintenance planning, environmental stewardship, and the continuous improvement of course conditioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Course Manager in the daily management of the golf course, driving range outfield, machinery, and greenkeeping team.
- Ensure the course is presented to the highest possible standard, maintaining playability and visual appeal across all areas.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and regular review of the course maintenance plan.
- Assist in planning, organising and participating in project, renovation and construction works.
- Monitor turf health, including pest and disease activity, moisture levels and thatch conditions, and produce action plans where improvements are required.
- Maintain, operate, and support the effective upkeep of the irrigation system.
- Support recruitment, development, performance management and retention of greenkeeping staff, fostering a positive and professional team culture.
- Promote and uphold Health & Safety standards, ensuring compliance with all current legislation and company procedures.
- Collaborate with greenkeeping colleagues across the wider BGL group to share knowledge and best practice.
- Contribute to environmental sustainability initiatives, enhancing biodiversity and embedding
About You:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a greenkeeping or turf management environment.
- Qualified and competent in the safe use and application of pesticides (PA1, PA2 & PA6 certifications).
- Flexible and reliable approach to working hours, including occasional weekend and early morning duties.
- Live within, or be willing to relocate to, a 30-minute commute of Wycombe Heights Golf Centre.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Sports Turf or equivalent qualification.
- A genuine enthusiasm for golf and an understanding of how course presentation influences the golfer’s experience.
